Students visit American Village

F.S. Ervin Elementary students take trip to pioneering education center
F. S. Ervin Elementary School fifth and sixth graders visited The American Village in Montevallo on Thursday, Oct. 4. The American Village is Alabama's nationally-pioneering education center whose mission is to enhance the understanding of the foundations of the American Republic and to promote the application of good citizenship in everyday life.

"We had a lot of fun," exclaimed Sanitaria Knight, a sixth grader. "There were exciting scenes and real musket gunfire," she continued.

That the trip was outstanding seemed to be the consensus of Ervin's students. Special thanks is extended to the parents, chaperons and sponsors James Beardsley, Kathryn Pettway, Gloria Smith, Robert Stallworth, Diane Ransom, Loretta Arnold and Mrs. Ola Mae Robinson for making the trip possible.
