Sabrina Gaddy at the NPC Alabama Figure & Bodybuilding State Championships.
On Saturday, August 18, 2007, at the 2007 NPC Alabama Bodybuilding & Figure State Championships, held at the Boutwell Auditorium in Birmingham, Alabama and competing in the Open Women's Division as a Middleweight at a weight of 131.4 lbs, Sabrina L. Gaddy won the Open Women's Overall Champion title and was named Ms Alabama 2007.

The NPC Alabama is a National qualifier which means the top 3 winners in each division are able to advance to National competitions for the next 2 years. This year's event was the largest in history with a record 80 competitors.

When interviewed, Ms Gaddy commented, "My head is still up in the clouds with this win. This is truly a dream come true! When I first started bodybuilding and training seriously back in 1999, I always wanted the state title. I've' spent many long hours in the gym, and made many sacrifices, but a win of this magnitude makes it all worth it."

Asked about her future plans, "With this win, I am able to advance to the national level and plan to do so. " The 2007 IFBB North American Bodybuilding & Figure Championships is August 31 - September 1, 2007, in Cleveland, OH. Winners at this event are able to earn their pro cards and compete professionally.

"I am very excited about the Nationals in 2 weeks, and the opportunity to compete against athletes of this caliber. But already the state win has opened more doors for me than I could have ever imagined. In Ohio I have a photo-shoot with photographer Juan Lopez Carlos of Hard Fitness Magazine; and a guest appearance November 2nd at a charity event sponsored by supplement company, Mannatech. Words can't express how exciting all this is, my dreams really have come true."

Sabrina is a 1983 graduate of Thomasville High School and is the daughter of Mrs. Clara Gaddy and the late Dabney L. Gaddy of Thomasville.
