Fall festival

Bassett Creek Baptist Church will host its annual fall festival at 3 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 28. Children and adults of all ages are invited to be part of the fun. Included will be horse rides, giant slides, hayrides, cotton candy, trunk-or-treat, and lots of surprises. Games will continue from 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., with a hamburger and hot dog cookout supper at 5:30 followed by a brief presentation. The day will end with trunk-ortreat. No admission will be charged. The youth will be conducting a fund-raising cakewalk with a $1 donation to participate. Dress up in your favorite non-scary costume and don't miss a moment of the family fun! Choir anniversary

The pastor and members of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in Nicholsville invite everyone to their annual choir anniversary to be held at 7 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 27 and at 2 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 28. The Rev. Alphonso Bowen and church family of the New Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church in Nanafalia will be special guests Sunday afternoon. All choirs, groups and soloists are invited and asked for an A&B selection and donation. Dinner will be served.

Fall festival

Oak Grove Baptist Church in the Chilton community will have a fall festival at 3:30 p.m., Oct. 27. A costume contest will be held for all ages, plus games activities, obstacle course and more. The evening will end with a hayride. Anyone who can is asked to bring a 2-liter Coke, cake, cookies, candy or cupcakes for the cakewalk. People of all ages are invited to come and enjoy the festivities. Rev. Morris Hill is pastor.

Benefit singing

A benefit singing will be held for 23-year old Jeffery West of Grove Hill, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., Oct. 27, at the Thomasville High School cafeteria. West has a rare disease called Castlemans disease. He is the son of Don and Betsy West of Grove Hill and is a volunteer fireman in the Helwestern community. Featured singers for the event will include Glory Road, Dixie Disciples, Josh Andrews, Brandy Beech, Larry and Carol Cox and more. No admission will be charged but a love offering will be accepted for West. For more information call Annie Knight at 334-636-5601.

Homecoming

Thomaston Baptist Church will host its 67th annual homecoming Sunday, Oct. 28. Sunday school will begin at 9:30 a.m. Morning worship will begin at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Wayne Sharp speaking and Mitzi Gates providing music.

Choir day

New Greater First Baptist Church, 181 Nicol Avenue S.E., in Thomasville, will hold Choir Day Celebration at 3 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 28, with guest speaker the Rev. D.C. Harrison Sr., of Macedonia Baptist Church in Daphne. Church pastor Carlton L. Hogue invites everone.

Trunk-or-treat

Thomasville First Assembly of God, on Highway 43 across from Alabama Southern, will host Trunk-or-Treat, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 31. Everyone is encouraged to stop by.

Fall festival

Full Gospel Lighthouse, 13990 Highway 10 West in Pine Hill will host Hallelujah Night Fall Festival from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 31. Parents along with their children ages 2 to 12 are invited. At 5:30 p.m. judging and prizes for the most authentic Bible characters will be held followed by a Gospel Bill video (Jesus is Coming). The evening will also include games and crafts, along with prizes and a Blessings Walk for the adults.
