Hodges, Torres to wed on Dec. 15
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Walter Clark Wyatt of Akron and Edna Patton Hodges and the late James William Hodges of Gadsden. The groom-elect is the grandson of Sr. Heriberto Torres and Sra. Virginia Barreto and Sr. Manuel Abreu and Sra. Irma Rodriguez of Isabela, Puerto Rico. Miss Hodges was the 1999 salutatorian of Thomasville High School and in 2003 graduated from the University of Alabama where she finished summa cum laude with a bachelor's degree in Spanish. A member of Phi Beta Kappa, she completed her master's degree in Spanish at the University of Florida in Gainesville. She is currently working toward a doctorate in Hispanic linguistics at the University of Florida. A 1999 graduate of Colegio San Antonio in Isabela, Mr. Abreu graduated cum laude with a bachelor's degree in biology in 2004 from the University of Puerto Rico in Rio Piedras. After graduating from the Florida School of Massage in 2006, he became a licensed massage therapist. He is currently a global supply technician with Regeneration Technologies in Alachua, Fla.
The wedding will take place at 3 p.m., Dec. 15, at Thomasville United Methodist Church. All friends and relatives are invited as no local invitations will be mailed.
