Joshua Wayne Hill

Joshua Wayne Hill, 24, of Thomasville died Tuesday, October 30, 2007, in Meridian, Miss.

Mr. Hill was born Oct. 24, 1983 in Camden. He was an assistant production manager with Mississippi Railcar. He attended Oak Grove Baptist Church in Chilton.

The funeral was held at 2 p.m., Friday, Nov. 2, at O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home in Thomasville with the Rev. Mike Brening officiating. Burial was in Enon Cemetery in Pine Hill.

Mr. Hill is survived by his wife, Stacey Cannon Hill of Thomasville; one daughter, Ava Jocelyn Hill of Thomasville; one son, Brendon Tate Hill of Thomasville; his parents Morris and Barbara Hill of Pine Hill; one brother, Cody Ethan Hill of Pine Hill; his grandparents, Daniel B. and Elsie Vick Jr. and of Pine Hill and Connie Julius and Vergie Hill of Dixons Mills; and his wife's parents Kim and Jennifer Cannon of Thomasville.

Pallbearers were Kerry Shiver, Russ Moody, Roy Etheridge, Daniel Ramage, Marcus Crosby and Jake Casteel.

O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home in Thomasville directed.

Huey Anderson 'Andy' Cassity

Huey Anderson "Andy" Cassity, 47, of Gallion, died Thursday, November 1, 2007, at DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa.

Mr. Cassity was born Wed - nesday, Dec. 2, 1959 in Demopolis. He was a truck driver.

The funeral was held at 3 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 4, at Providence Baptist Church with the Rev. Fred Freeman and Dr. Bobby E. Hopper officiating. Burial was in Providence Baptist Church Cemetery in Gallion.

Mr. Cassity is survived by two sons, Joshua Cassity and Tim Cassity, both of Prattville; his parents, Huey Cassity and Ted Huneycutt Cassity of Gallion; three sisters, Jackie (Danny) Davis of Gallion, Cindy Hansard of Demopolis and Pam (Wayne) Gibbs of Linden; one brother, Danny (Terri) Cassity of Ft. Walton Beach, Fla.; one aunt, Ada (Weedie) Honeycutt of Prattville; four nephews; and four nieces.

Pallbearers were J.R. Suttles, Tome Fells, Dale Tanner, Brad Moseley and Paul Morris.

Honorary pallbearers were members of The Bikers Clubs, employees of Suttles Trucking, David Tanner, Dr. O. Charles Gross, Dr. Paul Ketcham, staff of DCH Regional Hospital, staff of the ER Room at Bryan Whitfield Memorial Hospital.

Marie Jackson

Marie Jackson, 87, died Thursday, October 25, 2007, in Indianapolis, Ind.

Sis. Jackson was born Aug. 23, 1914 in Kimbrough to Etta and Henry Jackson. She joined St. Paul P.B. Church in Pine Hill at an early age.

The funeral was held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 3, at Pine Hill First Baptist Church with the Rev. E.M. Mosley officiating. Burial was in Pine Hill First Baptist Cemetery.

Sis. Jackson is survived by one daughter, Elsie Grayson of Detroit, Mich.; one brother, Lee Jackson of Chicago, Ill.; one stepbrother, Henry Matthew (Elizabeth) of Detroit, Mich.; one stepsister, Carrie Russell of Chicago, Ill.; two grandchildren, Linda Clark (Gary) of Indianapolis, Ind. and Gloria Longmire of Port St. Joe, Fla.; four great-grandchildren, Kenneth (Brenda) Blount of Pine Hill, Christine Blount of Lithonia, Ga., Gervonia Longmire of Port St. Joe and David Clark Jr. of Bartlett, Ill.; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.

Mosley Funeral Home of Thomasville directed.
