94th b'day celebration

Tommie D. Kennedy will celebrate her 94th birthday with a reception Sunday, Nov. 18, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Dickinson Baptist Church. Church pastor, James "Skeeter" Parnell, invites everyone to join in the celebration.

Cookbooks

While they last, Thomasville Church of God is selling one-of-a-kind cookbooks just in time for Christmas giving. These cookbooks have a collection of 265 of the best recipes from church members, family and friends and are compiled in an attractive keepsake cookbook. They can be purchased from any church member, at Wal-Mart or at The Thomasville Times office. For more information call Barbara Williams at 636-1876.

Fall food festival

The U.M.W. of the Thomasville United Methodist Church will again sponsor its annual Fall Food Festival, from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 17 in the church fellowship hall. The festival will feature baked goods, candies, pickles and preserves, casseroles and an angels' attic of used jewelry, books and tapes. Everyone is invited to join in for a pre-Thanksgiving taste of autumn's bounty.

Guest speaker

Michael Boggs, formerly of the singing group FFH will be leading the morning worship service at 11 a.m., Sunday, Nov. 18, at Fulton First Baptist Church.

Guest speaker

Bishop Alonzo Jackson will be speaking at the Thomasville High School cafeteria at 4 p.m., Nov. 18. Sponsored by Sis. Valeria Watters.

Thanksgiving service

Community-wide Thanksgiving service will be held at 6 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 18, at Thomasville United Methodist Church. Speaker will be Bro. Scott Myers of Pineview Baptist Church. Please bring a canned good or donation for the Salvation Army. Everyone is invited to attend.

Thanksgiving service

The annual Community Thanksgiving Service for the Camden-Wilcox area will be held at 7 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 18, at Camden ARP Church, 209 Broad Street in Camden. Speaker for the service will be Tommy Primm, pastor of the Bible Baptist Fellowship. A choir made up of volunteers from participating church, under the direction of Will Philpott will sing. Singers are asked to assemble for practice at 6 p.m. For more information call 334-365- 7640.

Sweating in the Spirit with Thomasville Church of God in Christ

Ladies and Gentleman, let's get busy Thomasville, exercise for you health. Three days a week will lower your blood pressure, help you sleep, and most of all help you feel good about yourself; Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday nights from 6 p.m. to 6:56 p.m. at Thomasville Church of God in Christ. Everyone is invited to Sweating in the Spirit.
