Blood drive to be held at library, Thursday, Nov. 29
Brigadier General McLain spoke to the students about the importance of the military and the great things they have done and are doing now. Also, Thursday night the drama group performed its play Asylum for the public. The play was quite a hit and gathered great applause. Congratulations drama members on yet another great job! And what was ringing through the halls as we returned to school on Tuesday? A great win, of course! Congratulations to the Tiger football team on its victory Friday night! The Tigers beat the Beauregard Hornets 38-17 in a great battle for the first round of the AHSAA play-offs. Please be sure to come out and support these guys as they take on Fayette County this Friday night for the second round. The Tigers need your support more than ever, so come join in cheering our team to another victory. Don't forget tickets are $7 now! The Thomasville School System will have another break next week. Students will be out Nov. 21-23 for Thanksgiving holidays. Enjoy and be thankful! There will be a blood drive on Thursday, Nov. 29 in the Thomasville High Library. Students, parents and community members are encouraged to take a few minutes from their day to donate. Giving just one pint of blood can save up to three lives! Who wouldn't want to take just 30 minutes of their day to save three lives? Plus, you will receive a free T-shirt and a chance to win two Delta Airline tickets! The requirements for the blood drive have changed this year. Students who are 16 years of age can now donate with parental consent. Also, you must weigh 110 pounds. Community members are strongly encouraged to come and donate blood between 8:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 29. No appointment is needed. If you have any questions, please contact the office at Thomasville High.
Until next time, I'm Jennifer Henson. Have a great week!
