OBITUARIES Jimmy Ray O'Bryant Jimmy Ray O'Bryant, 69, of Thomasville, died Sunday, November 18, 2007, at UAB Hospital in Birmingham. Mr. O'Bryant was born Sept. 29, 1938 in Gordo. He retired after 45 years as a funeral director and was the owner of O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home in Thomasville and Linden. Mr. O'Bryant was a retired United Methodist minister and was a member of Thomasville United Methodist Church. He was a member of Oliver Lodge No. 334 F&AM in Thomasville and was an active member of the Southwest Alabama Medical Center Hospital Auxiliary. The funeral was held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 21, at Thomasville United Methodist Church with the Rev. Phil Craddock officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Thomasville. Mr. O'Bryant is survived by his wife, Juanita S. O'Bryant of Thomasville; two sons, Jimmy R. (Ruby) O'Bryant Jr. and Jeff A. (Nekol) O'Bryant, both of Thomasville; one daughter, Mary Carol (Ken) Clayton of Thomasville; one sister, Geraldine O. Peek of Leeds; 13 grandchildren and four greatgrandchildren. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Thomasville United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Church Children's Home or the American Heart Association. O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home in Thomasville directed. Clinton G. Crocker Sr. Clinton G. Crocker Sr., 81, of Magnolia, died Wednesday, November 14, 2007, at Vaughan Regional Medical Center in Selma. Mr. Crocker was born Thursday, July 29, 1926, in Magnolia. He was a retired maintenance supervisor with the Alabama National Guard. He was a member of the Magnolia United Methodist Church and was a member of the St. Albans Masonic Lodge No. 22 in Linden. The funeral was held at 11 a.m., Friday Nov. 16, at O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home in Thomasville with the Rev. James L. Waters officiating. Burial was in Magnolia Cemetery. Mr. Crocker is survived by one son, Clinton G. (Leigh) Crocker Jr. of Magnolia; one daughter, Charlotte C. (John) Warren of Magnolia; one sister, Naomi (Bill) Nowotny of Rockport, Texas; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Heath Crocker, Chance Crocker, Jarrett Carrico, Johnny Fletcher, Toby Henderson and Wade Driver. Honorary pallbearers were James Martin, Wayne Lewis, Frank Martin, Winfred F. Slade, Bruce Crocker and Marcus Walters.
