Schools get distance-learning grant

The grant was sought in partnership with Vanderbilt University and will add video conferencing and other capabilities to Thomasville's distance learning program so that students may be able to take classes not normally offered at the schools. "This is a very exciting opportunity," said Vic Adkison, superintendent of schools. "We're exploding education beyond these four walls."
