There's a lot to be thankful for in 2007
It's Thanksgiving. What do we have to be thankful for? Here's a short list.

A new industry about to start up and employ about 100 people in good paying jobs just south of town.

New small businesses in town and expanding local businesses.

A sense of community pride. A good school system. A low crime rate. High-quality youth sports programs. Excellent public facilities. Progressive elected leadership.

Strong, family oriented churches.

Dedicated community leaders and volunteers.

The list could go much longer, but we think you get the idea. Could things be better? Certainly. But as we near the end of 2007, the future looks bright for Thomasville.

As a newspaper, The Thomasville Times is thankful for a dedicated, hard-working staff, our advertising partners, our readers and our community contributors.

We wish you all a happy and safe Thanksgiving.
