"Take back the highways" this week

Alabama State Troopers, Choctaw, Clarke and Washington Sheriff's Departments and respective law enforcement agencies within the Grove Hill Post join in announcing the kickoff of Operation Take Back Our Highways that will run from Monday, Nov. 19 through Sunday, Nov. 25.

Law enforcement agencies from around the state, as well as the states of Mississippi and Tennessee, have pledged their participation in a larger scale version of the highly successful safety initiative that originally took place during the month of August. Motorists traveling during this holiday period will see an increased officer presence on our roadways. Motorists are encouraged to buckle up, obey the speed limit and all other traffic laws and refrain from drinking and driving to help ensure their safety and that of others during the Thanksgiving holiday.
