THS students are counting their many blessings
Well, for one they are thankful for those mighty, mighty TIGERS! Congratulations boys on your victory over Fayette County Friday night! The final score of 58-34 was enough to take our guys to the third round of the AHSAA play-offs! Tiger fans you are needed now, more than ever so don't hesitate to come out and support the team as they take on the Handley Tigers in Thomasville at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 23! Thomasville High Athletic Department is extremely proud of its accomplishment at having received the Sportsmanship Award. This award reflects the football team, the coaching staff, the students, teachers, and fans. We are extremely proud of this achievement. THS would also like to thank the following students for displaying their Tiger Pride and good student behavior: 12th grade - Brooklyn Scott and Dylan Digmon; 11th grade - Daniel O'Bryant and Taylor Smith; 10th grade - Jarret Taylor and Rachel Norris; ninth grade - Charles Taylor and Chloe Rush. These students were selected as the October students of the month and will be rewarded with a "Dress out of Uniform Day." Cearra Dunn is thankful for her recognition as "Co-Op Student of the Month." Cearra has represented THS and the co-op program well while at her job at Knight's Cleaners. The graduation exams will be administered next week. Students please make every effort to take advantage of the tutoring opportunities. Do not forget to eat a good breakfast and from your fellow students, "Good Luck!" Last, but certainly not least, students and members of the community, please do not forget that Thursday, November 29, the National Honor Society is hosting a blood drive from 8:30-1:30. Students, please see Mrs. Maroney to sign up to give blood. Community members, no appointments are needed to give blood, drop by at your convenience. The National Honor Society's goal is 42 people, yet we would love to say that we could double that goal.
Until next time, I'm Jennifer Henson. Have a great week!
