Thornhill cleans up in annual art contest

Am Thornhilll of Thomasville won numerous awards at this year's Clarke- Choctaw fair.

The awards won are listed as follows:

3rd place in charcoal drawing.

3rd place in photography of ANIMALS, (a horse) photo named "SAVED"

1st place in photography of LANDSCAPE, (a leaf w rain) photo name "AFTER THE STORM"

1st place in photography of FLOWERS, (spider hiding under flower) photo named "THE UMBRELLA"

1st place in photography of PEOPLE (eyeball close up) photo named "WORLDS APART"

1st place in photography of INSECTS (spider on flower attacking bee coming for nector) photo named "THE CATCH"

Thornhill is a Junior at CCHS. She wants to go to college to be an equine vet. Her hobbies include riding her horse Zeus, drawing and photography. She's looking forward to helping her grandmother, Kathy Roberts, this summer with a few photographic projects, gaining some experiance (learning the ropes.) Her mother and aunt Sharon Wilson and great aunt Bernice are all artists. Her father Wynn and grandfather Eddie have taken aerial photographs for many years.

Thornhill has grown up around photography and art of many kinds.

She is the daughter of Lance and Melinda Foster of Grove Hill. Wynn and Jessica Thornhill of Linden. The granddaughter of David and Kathy Roberts of Thomasville. Eddie and Wanda Foster of Grove Hill and Eddie and Anita Thornhill of Demopolis. great granddaughter of Cecil and Clara Morgan of Whatley.
