'Blood bowl' beats expectations
      Last week the Thomasville High School National Honor Society's blood drive met and exceeded its projected goal of 42 units by six when 48 units were donated. Twenty-six first-time students and adults rolled up their sleeves to help others in need.

F.S. Ervin hosts 'Critters'
     Animals from Africa, Asia, Austria, Europe, North and South America were showcased in "Critters" Educational Animal Program held Nov. 27 in the F.S. Ervin Elementary School's gymnasium. Ranger Rick Rakestraw commented that many of the animals in his program are extinct.
