OBITUARIES Bessie Ree Hutto Bessie Ree Hutto, 86, of Chilton, died Thursday, November 29, 2007, at Southwest Alabama Medical Center. Mrs. Hutto was born Oct. 22, 1921 in Prospect. She was a homemaker and was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church in Coffeeville. The funeral was held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 1, at Oak Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Leon Harrison officiating. Burial was in Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Hutto is survived by her husband, Bealie Hutto of Chilton; two sons, Ronald (Judy) Hutto of Vineland and Rocky (Jane) Hutto of Surginer; one daughter, Martha (William) Scott of Chilton; two sisters, Clydie Roberts of Saraland and Janie Roberts of Chilton; two grandchildren, Andy Scott of Chilton and Donna Couch of Camden; and three great-grandchildren, Drew Scott and Anthony Scott, both of Chilton and Nikki Helms of Camden. Pallbearers were Doug Parnell, Drew Scott, Tommy Couch, Danny Harrison, Andy Scott and Anthony Scott. Honorary pallbearers were Bennie E. Pugh, L.C. Kennedy, 60, of Thomasville, died November 30, 2007. Mr. Kennedy was employed as a logger. The funeral will be held at 1 p.m., Dec. 8, at Rockbabylon M.B. Church with the Rev. Norris J. Pauley officiating. Burial will be in Polley Robinson Cemetery. Mr. Kennedy is survived by his wife, Myrtis Kennedy of Thomasville; five sons, Jerry Kennedy of Annemanie, Albert Kennedy of Magnolia, Norman Kennedy Jr. of Tuscaloosa, Randy Kennedy of Thomaston and James Calhoun of Pensacola; one daughter Sadie Robinson Fuqua of Thomasville; three brothers, Charlie L. Kennedy Sr. and J.C. Kennedy Sr. of Dixons Mills and Jimmy Earl Kennedy Sr. of Sweet Water; three sisters, Christine Jordan of Los Angeles, Calif., Irene Lewis of Dixons Mills and Bessie Pearl Hudson of Mobile; and 13 grandchildren. Reese Funeral Home of Thomasville directed. Willie James McKinley Willie James McKinley died December 1, 2007, at his home in Satsuma. Mr. McKinley was a native of Clarke County. He was employed with Courtaulds North American Fibers and retired in 1985. He was a veteran of World War II. He saw action in the European Theater and was awarded the Purple Heart Medal, the World War II Victory Medal, American Service Medal, African Middle Eastern Service Medal with three Bronze Stars. He was a member of the Gateway Baptist Church in Saraland and loved gardening, camping and antique cars. The funeral was held at 2 p.m., Monday, Dec. 3, at Gateway Baptist Church in Saraland. Burial was in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Saraland. Mr. McKinley is survived by his wife of 64 years, Earline Few McKinley of Satsuma; one daughter, Judy (Neil) Tapia of Satsuma; and one son, Keith (Patti) McKinley of Satsuma; two sisters, Eunice Drinkard of Thomasville and Bertha Robertson (Glen) Snyder of South Port, Fla.; two brothers, Cecil (Louise) McKinley of Thomasville and Aaron T. (Faye) McKinley of Axis; three grandchildren, Katherine (Robert) Holm and Brent (Joanna) McKinley, all of Satsuma and Amanda Ryals of Birmingham; one step-grandchild, Emmanuel Tapia of Mobile; and seven great-grandchildren, Emma Holm, Karolina Holm, Conner Holm, Lauryn McKinley, Andrew McKinley, William McKinley and Naudia Lawrence. Mr. McKinley was preceded in death by his parents, Aron S. and Lula J. Courtney McKinley; one brother, Underwood McKinley; and one sister, Ruth McKinley Gates. James Floyd Pugh James Floyd Pugh, 73, of Thomasville, died Tuesday, November 27, 2007, at his home. Mr. Pugh was born Jan. 5, 1934 in Holtamville. He was a retired tractor mechanic and was a member of Midway Baptist Church. The funeral was held at 2 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 29, at Midway Baptist Church with the Rev. Paul Kendrick and the Rev. Rex Jackson officiating. Burial was in Midway Baptist Church Cemetery in Thomasville. Mr. Pugh is survived by his wife, Ruth G. Pugh of Thomasville; three daughters, Bobbie Joyce (Al) Robinson of Birmingham, Wanda Jean (Ray) Hooks of Thomasville and Noley Faye (Charles) Roberts of Thomasville; one step-daughter, Jackie (Ray) Williams of Chance; four stepsons, James (Wilda) Gilchrist of Alma, Gary (Beverly) Gilchrist of Panama City Beach, Fla., Phil (Lucy) Gilchrist of Jackson and Stevie (Betty) Gilchrist of Grove Hill; five brothers, Ben Pugh and Alfred Pugh, both of Thomasville and George Pugh, John Pugh and W.T. Frankie M. Williams Frankie M. Williams, 87, of Thomasville, died Wednesday, November 28, 2007, at Bryan W. Whitfield Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Williams was born June 3, 1920, in Dixons Mills. She was a homemaker and attended Midway Baptist Church in Thomasville. The funeral was held at 2 p.m., Friday, Nov. 30, at Midway Baptist Church with the Rev. Rex Jackson and the Rev. Don Stephens officiating. Burial was in Thomaston Cemetery in Thomaston. Mrs. Williams is survived by two daughters, Shirley Schroeder of Thomasville and Elaine Kinney of Phoenix, Ariz.; one brother, Olen Douglas McManus of Mobile; four grandchildren; and three greatgrandchildren. Pallbearers were Olen Turnipseed, Norman Turnip - seed, Don Duren, Bob Manning, Holt Garrett and Tim Kelley. Honorary pallbearers were the Senior Ladies Sunday School Class of Midway Baptist Church.
