All the world loves a clown

Dune Buggy "crowns" student with balloon creation
F.S. Ervin Elementary School's library welcomed "Dune Buggy" the clown to help celebrate Children's Book Week during the week of Nov. 12 - 16.

Children's Book Week is a special week in which the importance of books and reading is recognized. "Dune Buggy" is a professional clown, magician, balloon sculpturist, and entertainer. He is the ambassador for Georgia Peanuts and the spokesperson for the Georgia Peanut Commission and the Peanut Advisory Board.

"Dune Buggy" the clown entertained students and faculty in a special assembly held on Nov. 13. During his program he stressed to students the important of books and reading. He also talked with students about the importance of exercise and good nutrition.

"Dune Buggy" spent the afternoon, while at F.S. Ervin in the library, visiting with students and sculpturing balloons for Head Start, pre-K, kindergarten, first, and second grades. The day was very enjoyable and fun-filled for everyone.
