TMS girls finish season undefeated The Thomasville Middle School girls' basketball team picked up three more wins over the final two weeks of November to finish their season with a perfect 8 - 0 record. This year's perfect finish marked the second year in a row that the TMS girls' team has accomplished such a feat. The three game run began with their road match-up against the Sweet Water Middle School girls on Monday, November 19. In the game, girls from Thomasville jumped out to an 8 - 2 lead after the first quarter, increased it to 18 - 9 by halftime and then coasted to a 30 - 12 final. Amber Coston led the TMS scoring attack with seven points followed by Shakira Holt and Fran Washington with six points apiece. Alexis Watters was next with five points while Psietta Rodgers chipped in four points and Bria Robinson added two. The TMS girls took on the Wilson Hall Middle School girls next, traveling to Grove Hill for a Tuesday, November 27, match-up. The game was a close battle from beginning to end with TMS taking an 12 - 9 lead into halftime and then increasing it to a 25 - 20 final. Amber Coston was the TMS scoring leader again pumping in 11 points. Mahalia Crawford was next with six points followed by the quartet of Shakira Holt, Bria Robinson, Fran Washington and Alexis Watters with two points each. The final game of the season for the TMS girls was played at home on Thursday, November 29 against the Jackson Middle School girls. In the game the first two quarters of the game belonged to TMS as they built a 12 - 5 lead by halftime. It was quite the opposite in the second half though as the TMS girls had to fight off a JMS rally in the fourth quarter to hold on for 19 - 17 win.
Psietta Rodgers led the TMS girls in scoring in this one with six points followed by Fran Washington with five and Shakira Holt with four. Bria Robinson and Alexis Watters also added two points each to the total.
