Gates announce birth

John and Ellen Gates of Thomasville announce the birth of a daughter, Mary Kellen Gates, born at 7:18 p.m., Nov. 12, 2007. She weighed 5 pounds, 7 ounces and was 19- 1/2 inches long.

Maternal grandparents are Ken and Lynn Spinks of Thomasville.

Paternal grandparents are Randy and Lynn Gates of Thomasville.
