Couple plans February wedding

Stacy Ann Jones and Gilbert Franklin Douglas IV

Mr. and Mrs. Shafter Eugene Jones of Brookside, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Stacy Ann Jones to Gilbert Franklin Douglas IV, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Franklin Douglas III of Birmingham.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Rolen Henry Burr and the late Mr. and Mrs. Harry Eugene Jones, all of Brookside. She is a 2004 graduate of Gardendale High School and a 2007 graduate of Bevill State Community College with a degree in nursing. She is currently employed at Physicians Medical Center Carraway.

The future groom is the grandson of Mrs. Sarah Phillips Douglas and the late Dr. Gilbert Franklin Douglas Jr. of Birmingham, and Mrs. Rose Mary Semon Nettles and the late Dr. James Dennis Nettles of Arlington. He is a 1997 graduate of Heritage Academy and graduate of Samford University, Georgetown University and Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, 2006. While in medical school he did a rotation at Thomasville Hospital and is currently an internal medicine resident at Physicians Medical Center Carraway.

The wedding is planned for Feb. 9, 2008 at 3 p.m., at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Hoover with reception afterwards at the church. After their wedding trip planned for Jamaica, the couple will make their home in Fultondale.
