Christmas fire in T'ville
 | | Fire broke out at the home of Scott and Michelle Mayton in downtown Thomasville Sunday afternoon. The fire started in the wall of the home near a wood-burning heater fire department officials said. The fire spread from the wall to the attic, but was contained there and kept from spreading to the rest of the house. Passersby said they noticed the smoke coming from the house, knocked on the door to alert the Maytons and called 9-1-1. No one was injured in the fire.
