Health Department open house The Clarke County Health Department, 22600 Highway 84 East in Grove Hill, will hold a ribbon cutting and open house, July 25, beginning at 1 p.m. A tour of the new facility will follow the ceremony. Fontaine descendants to meet in Clarke Co. Descendants of the pioneer Fontaine family of Clarke County will gather Saturday, July 26. Activities will begin at 10 a.m. at the Choctaw Corner Cemetery near Thomasville with a military tribute by the Alabama Daughters of the War of 1812 honoring Alabama patriarch William Maury Fontaine, a sergeant in that war.
