Each elaborately decorated table had a theme, from a little girl's tea party to a summer picnic - complete with ants and watermelons. A light salad luncheon was served, topped off by not-so-light desserts. The speaker for the event was Kim Baker, who talked about the life of Abigail, wife of Nabal, who became the wife of David after her husband died. The program was planned as an outreach to unchurched women as well as an opportunity to fellowship with ladies who attend other churches in the area. Organizers say they enjoyed decorating and planning for the Tablescapes so much - as well as seeing the creativity of others - they plan to hold the event on a regular basis.
