CGEDA holds traning session in Thomasville

Coastal Gateway Regional Economic Development Authority, a partnership of Choctaw, Clarke, Conecuh, Escambia and Monroe Counties, has partnered with PowerSouth and local county industrial development boards to present a training program aimed at local elected officials and community leaders.

Community Leadership Training, known as CLT, was held in Thomasville and Brewton.

The Thomasville session was held on Wednesday, December 10 and had a record attendance of 35 community leaders. Attendees received training on the economic development process including an overview, the role of local and statewide economic development organizations, the importance of teamwork, available resources and identifying the competition. Additional training focusing on working with existing industries and working together as a team is also planned.
