MLK Day march, service Monday

The Dravitan Club of Thomasville extends an invitation to everyone in the surrounding area to join in an observance celebration honoring the memories of Reverand Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. to be held Monday, Jan. 21 at Williams Temple C.M.E. Church at 10:30 a.m.

The celebration will kick off with a memorial ceremony in Clay Park at 10 a.m. downtown Thomasville followed by a commemorative march to Williams Temple C.M.E. Church.

The national theme for this year is "Martin Luther King Jr., Great Leader, Big Dreamer, Faihful Believer and Awesome Acheiveer." The speaker will be Elder Jimmy Allen of the Thomasville Church of God in Christ.
