Tornadoes hit area Thursday
Heavy storms spawned several tornadoes throughout the region. One twister was spotted in the southern part of Thomasville, while Johnny Autery captured this funnel cloud after it lifted off the ground four miles east of Dixons Mills at about 2:20 p.m. Autery reported some likely storm damage could be seen along County Road 6.
