Hwy. 84 wreck fatal

A Sweet Water man was killed Jan. 10 in a two-vehicle collision west of Monroeville on Highway 84.

According to the State Troopers office in Evergreen, Richard Todd McKay, 41, of Sweet Water, was fatally injured when his 2000 Ford Focus collided with a 2007 Peterbilt truck driven by Jeffery Mills, 50, of Ovett, Miss.

Mills was injured and transferred to Monroe County Hospital. He was treated and released.

The accident occurred at approximately 9:01 a.m. in Monroe County 12 miles west of Monroeville.
