Genealogy workshop comes to Monroeville

The Monroe County Heritage Museums in Monroeville will host the seventh annual genealogy seminar featuring Elizabeth Wells, special collections librarian at Samford University. Topics will include preservation of church records, learning other sources that contain church data and the importance of church records for the organization and the researcher. The seminar will be held at the Old Courthouse Museum on Saturday, Feb. 2.

Registration begins at 8:30 and the program is from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission is $20 per person. Following the program, guests will have an opportunity to purchase many genealogical research items from the museum gift shop located on the first floor of the Old Courthouse Museum.
