Pilots for Christ benefit singing features Chuck Wagon Gang

The Chuck Wagon Gang
The world-famous Chuck Wagon Gang will be appearing in a free benefit concert for Pilots for Christ, Inc., at Nettles Auditorium on the campus of Alabama Southern Community College, Highway 21 in Monroeville on Friday, February 8.

Pilots for Christ, Inc., is a Christian non-profit organization based in Monroeville that helps fly needy people who are too ill to travel by any other means.

Concert organizer, Bill Crutchfield of Monroeville said, "We are pleased as we can be to have the number one gospel group of all time come to appear in Monroeville. There will be no concert admission charge, but donations may be given to benefit Pilots for Christ, Inc., a group of Christian pilots and volunteers who are very near and dear to my heart."

Opening the concert for the Chuck Wagon Gang at 6:30 p.m. will be the Foyer Boyz of Tupelo, Miss. who will present their pure a cappella gospel music. A Monroe County gospel group, Joyful Noize will also perform in the opening. The Chuck Wagon Gang will take the stage performing its great gospel music at approximately 7:30 p.m.

Members of today's Chuck Wagon Gang are Dave Emery, Stan Hill, Julie Hudson and Penny Green. The quartet still maintains the clear, uncluttered sound of pure gospel music that established them in the early 1930s by founder David P. "Dad" Carter.
