DeFreese recognized for service

Birmingham-based Process Industry Training Associates recently recognized its cofounder and managing partner, Don DeFreese, for his 50 years of service to the paper industry. Starting in 1957, with Hudson Pulp and Paper, DeFreese held early career positions in production, engineering and training. He later held vice president positions with MacMillan Bloedel, Inc. For the past 25 years, he has provided training consulting to most of the major companies in the paper industry. DeFreese is a graduate of Auburn University. During his nine years in Thomasville his children Donel, Travis, Gavin and Ann attended Thomasville public schools.
