Get out and vote on Feb. 5
The presidential primary in Alabama is Feb. 5.

We hope you will go out and vote for the candidate you think will be the best choice for leading our nation for the next four years.

Many challenges lay ahead for our next president. If you are still trying to decide, we've found a breakdown of each candidate and his or her position described in brief on a number of issues.

It can be found on the New York Times web site: http://politics.nytimes.com/electionguide/ 2008/issues/index.html

The table was created before some candidates dropped out of the race, but it can serve as a jumping off point to do further research in making an informed selection.

All normal polling places in the Thomasville area will be open next week, including the National Guard armory, Tallahatta Springs Community House, Walnut Grove Missionary Church, Bashi United Methodist Church, Thomasville Fire Dept station 3, Thomasville City Hall, Methodist Protestant Church on Sandflat Road, and others.

They will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
