The Thomasville High School Varsity basketball team lost their final game of the regular season 63 - 56 to Clarke County on Friday, February 1. The game which was played in Thomasville was nip and tuck most of the way with the Bulldogs sinking critical free throws at the end to secure the victory.

In a losing effort, Tacory Marshall had another double/double, scoring 14 points to lead the Tigers in scoring and pulling down 12 rebounds. Markell Watters was next in scoring with 12 points followed by Alex Buford with nine points, Tysean Thompson with eight points, and Daril Jackson with six points.

With the regular season now behind them the Tigers are scheduled to begin post season play on Friday, February 8, when they travel to Jackson to take on the Escambia County Blue Devils in the first game of the 4A Area 1 tournament at 6:00 PM. If the Tigers win Friday's game they will play the winner of the second game Friday involving Jackson and Monroe County on Monday, February 11 for the championship. A win in Friday's game will automatically qualify them for the second round of the State Playoffs with the outcome of Monday's game determining which team will host the second round on Friday, February15 and which team will have to travel.
