OBITUARIES Jarrett Michael Andrews of Thomasville died Monday, February 4, 2008 at Grove Hill Memorial Hospital in Grove Hill. He was born Feb. 4, 2008 in Grove Hill. Graveside service was held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 7, at Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Maurice Dyess officiating. He is survived by his parents, Michael and Alesia Andrews of Thomasville; paternal grandparents, Willie "Buster" and Lois Andrews Jr. of Grove Hill and Teresa Andrews of Thomasville; maternal grandparents, Anne Brownlee of Butler and Terry and Janet Kelley of Needham; paternal great-grandparents, Charles "Jack" and Betty Williamson of Thomasville; and maternal great-grandparents, Ben jamin Lewis of Gilbertown and J.T. and Eunice Kelley of Gilbertown. O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home in Thomasville directed. James Liles Richards James Liles Richards, 90, of Catherine, died Wednesday, February 6, 2008, at his home. Mr. Richards was born Jan. 8, 1918 in Catherine. He was a retired bookkeeper and a merchant. Mr. Richards was a member of the Catherine Baptist Church. The funeral was held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 9, at Cath - erine Baptist Church with the Rev. W.J. Cannon and the Rev. Tony Earl Cannon officiating. Burial was in Catherine Cemetery. Mr. Richards is survived by his daughter, Emma Richards of Catherine; one daughter, Ginger (Benny) Anderson of Ft. Worth, Texas; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were William Parker, Ty Parker, Richard Parker, Everett Richards, Thomas S. "Bubba" Richards Jr. and Cleve Morgan. Maude Lee Tucker Richardson Maude Lee Rucker Richard - son, 83, of Dixons Mills, died February 10, 2008, at Mobile Infirmary Medical Center in Mobile. Mrs. Richardson worked as a housewife and was a member of Community Christian Church in Deer Park. The funeral was held at 11 a.m., Feb. 13, at Deer Park United Methodist Church with the Rev. Denny McDavid, Rev. Barton Turner and Rev. John Daszczuk officiating. Burial was in Deer Park Cemetery. Mrs. Richardson is survived by her husband, Leroy R. Richardson of Deer Park; two sons, Gregory Lee (Angel) Richardson of Deer Park and David Ray Richardson of Hartselle; one daughter, Eliza - beth Faye (Gene) Richardson Childers of Spanish Fort; one brother, Willard Lee (Dottie) Tucker of Dixons Mills; two sisters, Mabel (Marvin) Anderson of Madison and Arcola Niemi of Madison; and six grandchildren Wesley, Rachael, Christy, Noah, Jonah and Tabatha. Elsie Whatley Jr. Elsie Whatley Jr., 76, of Sweet Water, died Sunday, February 3, 2008, at Infinity Hospice in Meridian, Miss. Mr. Whatley was born Aug. 16, 1931 in Clay County. He was a retired millwright. Graveside service was held at 10 a.m., Friday, Feb. 8, at Geneva Presbyterian Church Cemetery with the Rev. Randall Smith and Branch President Jimmy Roberts officiating. Mr. Whatley is survived by one son, Terry W. (Theresa) Whatley of Sweet Water; one daughter, I. Dyann (Steve) Dube of Tolland, Conn.; one sister, Gladys Willingham of Anniston; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Mr. Whatley was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Maxine H. Whatley; and one brother, Otis Whatley. Pallbearers were Steve Caudle, Roger Irvin, Bobby Noland, J.D. Tindell, Jimmy Roberts, Tom Sessions and Sonny Barger. O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home in Linden directed. Louise Williams Louise Williams, 83, of Lower Peach Tree, died February 5, 2008 at her home. Mrs. Williams was a member of St. Thomas AME Church and worked as a homemaker. The funeral was held at 11 a.m., Feb. 9, at St. Thomas AME Church with the Rev. W.W. Nixon officiating. Burial was in Mt. Sinai AME Cemetery. Mrs. Williams is survived by one son, Willie D. Williams of Mobile; three daughters, Alice Mae Williams of Lower Peach Tree, Mary J. Williams and Laura Williams, both of Grovetown, Ga.; one brother, C.L. Williams of Mobile; three sisters, Viola Slaughter of Mt. Vernon, Velma Carlton of Lower Peach Tree and Thelma Williams of Mobile; four grandchildren, George Williams, Anthony Williams, Damien Williams and Willie James Williams; and five great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were George Williams, Willie D. Williams, Willie Jame Williams, Tommie Pugh and Anthony Williams.
