Royce Beddo Council

Royce Beddo Council, 72, of Fulton, died Wednesday, February 13, 2008, at Mobile Infirmary.

Mr. Council was born March 5, 1935 in Greenwood. He was a planer operator at Scotch Lumber Company. Mr. Council was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church.

The funeral was held at 10 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 16, at O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home in Thomasville with the Rev. John Copeland and the Rev. Grey Snodgrass officiating. Burial was in Good Hope Baptist Church Cemetery in Grove Hill.

Mr. Council is survived by his wife, Betty Council of Fulton; three daughters, Cynthia (Garry) Parden of Grove Hill, Deborah (Mike) Williams of Thomasville and Betty Jean (Randy) Luker of Fulton; one son, Royce (Jenny) Council Jr. of Grove Hill; one sister, Wilda Knight of Greenwood; one brother, Pat Council of Silverhill; and nine grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Eddie Knight, Michael Cassity, Gerald Edge, Nick Gibson, Steve Council and Carl Council.

O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home of Thomasville directed.

Jesse Lemioul Davis Jr.

Jesse Lemioul Davis Jr., 56, of Millbrook, died Saturday, February 9, 2008, at Baptist Medical Center South in Montgomery.

Mr. Davis was born Feb. 15, 1951 in Linden. He was a truck driver.

Graveside service was held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 13, at Forest Springs Cemetery with the Rev. Charles Rush officiating.

Mr. Davis is survived by one son, Jesse L. Davis III of Millbrook; one daughter, Jessica Davis of Lower Peachtree; four sisters, Judy Harvell of Cullman, Sandra Watford of Millbrook, Sue Stapleton of Selma and Nancy Phillips of Deatsville; and three grandchildren.

W.J. 'Junior' Davis

W.J. "Junior" Davis, 80 of Camden, died Wednesday, February 13, 2008 at J. Paul Jones Hospital in Camden.

Mr. Davis was born May 14, 1927, in Frisco City. He was a member of Enon Baptist Church in Camden and was a retired mechanic.

The funeral was held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 16, at Enon Baptist Church with the Rev. Mark Raughton officiating. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery in Camden.

Mr. Davis is survived by his wife, Thelma Mae Davis of Camden; one daughter, Edna (Melvin) Morgan of Camden; one son, William Clinton Davis of Camden; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Bryant Pearson, Tommy McNeece, John Henry Dailey, Wayland Smith, Buford Gavin, Alex Dailey and Melvin Morgan.
