CCARC spring jubilee set March 15

The Clarke County ARC will host its annual open house and spring jubilee from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., March 15. The annual fund-raiser is a day set aside to celebrate the capabilities of individuals with cognitive disabilities.

The day will kick of at 8:30 a.m. with the annual 5k/1m Fun Walk and the annual Cruising for CCARC - Dice Run charity ride sponsored by the Clarke County chapter of Southern Cruisers at 10 a.m. John Rogers, WMVB will be the emcee.

Entertainment during the day will feature local Gulf Coast band, After 4 and local entertainment groups.

Other events will include a silent art and pottery auction, a gumbo cook-off, a cake sale and walk, Bingo, canines on parade (a dog costume contest), Adopt-A-Pet, games, beauty parlor for the young ladies, horse and buggy rides and more.

Also, Clarke County People First, a self-advocacy group, will be giving away $100, will have a snow cone booth and will be sponsoring the horse and buddy ride.
