Season ends for Lady Tigers in sub-regionals

The Thomasville High School Lady Tigers saw their basketball season end this past Thursday, February 14, when they fell to the Lady Tigers of T. R. Miller High School 40 - 32. In the game which was played in Brewton, the Thomasville Ladies fell behind early in the game and never could overtake their hosts. With the loss they end their season with a 13 - 8 record having claimed the 4A Area 1 regular season championship in the process.
In the loss to the Miller Ladies Kyera Rowe was the leading scorer for Thomasville with 10 points. Tamara Robinson and Nicole Washington were next with five points each followed by Shelby Crawford with four points; Twarner Witherspoon with three points; Ashley Crawford and Kierra Westbrook with two points each and Britney Stallworth with one point. On the boards Washington and Witherspoon led the way pulling down five rebounds each with Rowe grabbing four. Stallworth and Washington were the assist leaders with three each and Witherspoon led the charge on defense with three steals.
