OBITUARIES Robbie Gertrude Andrews Robbie Gertrude Andrews, 89, of Fulton, died Tuesday, February 19, 2008, at Mobile Infirmary. Mrs. Andrews was born March 18, 1918 in Midway. She was a homemaker. The funeral was held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 21, at O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home in Thomasville with the Rev. Percy Clarke officiating. Emma Louise Autrey Emma Louise Autrey, 77, of Thomasville, died Friday, February 22, 2008, at Mobile Infirmary. Mrs. Autrey was born Sept. 22, 1930 in Phoenix, Ariz. She was a homemaker and was a member of Vineland Baptist Church. The funeral was held at 11 a.m., Monday, Feb. 25, at Vineland Baptist Church with the Rev. Lister Hill, Rev. W.J. Cannon and Rev. Mary Ellen Guy Mary Ellen Guy, 63, of Camden, died Sunday, February 17, 2008 at Camden Nursing Facility. Mrs. Guy was born Nov. 6, 1944 in Camden. She was a homemaker. O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home of Thomasville directed. Hubert Lee Jackson Hubert Lee Jackson, 76, of Thomasville, died Sunday, February 17, 2008, at Providence Hospital in Mobile. Mr. Jackson was born Aug. 12, 1931 in Thomasville. During his working career he had been employed in various occupations including working as a millwright, a Clarke County sheriff's deputy, police chief of Grove Hill and retired as a maintenance worker from the Alabama Department of Transportation. Mr. Jackson was a veteran of the Army having served as a paratrooper. He was a member of Midway Baptist Church in Thomasville and was also a member of Oliver Lodge No. 334 F&AM. The funeral was held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 20, at O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Rex Jackson officiating. Burial was in Choctaw Corner Cemetery in Thomasville with full Masonic rites. Mr. Jackson is survived by his wife, Nell W. Mrs. Johnson was born Sept. 28, 1927 in Holtamville. She was a self-employed owner of a country general store. She was a member of Putnam Baptist Church. The funeral was held at 11 a.m., Friday, Feb. 22, at O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home in Thomasville with the Rev. Brooks Etheridge officiating. Burial was in Putnam Cemetery in Putnam. Miss McDaniel was born in Tennessee, had lived in Demopolis the past 60 years and was a member of The First Christian Church of Demopolis. Frances Vivian Plummer Nichols Frances Vivian Plummer Nichols, 91, of Thomasville died Thursday, February 21, 2008, at Southwest Alabama Medical Center in Thomasville. Mrs. Nichols was born Aug. 23, 1916 in Waverly, Va., the oldest of nine children of Ralph and Carrie Plummer of Grove Hill. She was a 1934 graduate of Clarke County High School and a 1938 graduate of Judson College where she received her B.S. degree in math. Mrs. Nichols was a math teacher at Grove Hill and Thomasville public schools for 18 years. She served as accountant / bookkeeper for Thomasville City Schools for 18 years until her retirement in 1981. She was an active member of Thomasville Baptist Church for 53 years, where she served as a Sunday school teacher and was a member of the choir. Mrs. Nichols was also active in various civic and literary clubs in Thomasville. The funeral was held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 23, at Thomasville Baptist Church with Dr. James Best officiating. Burial was at Choctaw Corner Cemetery in Thomasville. Mrs. Nichols is survived by three brothers, M.C. Plummer of Jackson, William "Bill" R. Plummer of Camphill, Robert "Bob" A. Plummer of Valdosta, Ga.; and five sisters, Mary Belle P. Anderson of Thomasville, Dorothy P. Schenk of Thomasville, Leta P. Williams of San Antonio, Texas, Katherine P. Barfield of Montgomery and Virginia P. Crim of Atlanta, Ga. Mrs. Nichols was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Buren Nichols. Pallbearers were her nephews.
