Congrats to our basketball teams
The Tiger basketball teams had a great season this year. The girls and the boys both made it to the playoffs with very successful regular season records, and while their seasons ended sooner than they would have liked, they deserve congratulations for their strong showings.

They put in a lot of time to take care of both academics and get themselves ready for the grind of the high school hoops season, but they do what it takes. And they not only just got on the court, they did it well and won a lot.

The tri-county area from Washington through Clarke and up to Marengo is a pretty rich area for high school sports of all kinds. As of Tuesday, Clarke County High School was still in the state playoffs of basketball, and of course Sweet Water and Leroy have already brought home state championship hardware in football with Thomasville making it to the semifinals before losing to the eventual state champion by one point.

We congratulate and encourage all our student athletes, band members, cheerleaders, Diamond Dolls and the parents and coaches associated with our sports programs. Keep up the good work!
