Students visit hands-on museum

SWHS special class students Gary and Chelsea
Eleven students from the Sweet Water High School Special Class recently took a trip to the McWane Center in Birmingham, which is a hands-on museum with a family-friendly atmosphere. Kids of all ages can discover the fun of science, how it solves problems and helps participants to understand themselves and the world.

The kids toured many exhibits and afterwards had a great lunch provided by the SWHS cafeteria staff.

Next on the agenda was the IMax Theater, which has a 3D projector screen with a very loud sound system. There the students watched Santa -vs- The Snowman.

The trip ended with a visit to McDonald's. Students participating included: Chelsea, Gary, Angela, Chelsea C., Richard, Autumn, Chris, Eugene, Aarius, Jelisa and Dillion.
