OBITUARIES Murray Edward Anderson Murray Edward Anderson, 66, of Thomaston, died Saturday, February 23, 2008, at his home. Mr. Anderson was born June 4, 1941 in Thomaston. He was a former security guard and was a retired Air Force master sergeant. Graveside service was held at 3 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 28, at Thomaston Cemetery with the Rev. Randall Mims officiating. Mr. Anderson is survived by one son, Myrrdin Anderson of Winona Lake, Ind.; one daughter, Kristina Anderson of Indianapolis, Ind.; one sister, Evelyn Childs of Irvington; two brothers, John H. Sanders of Foley and Malcolm Sanders of Thomaston; and two grandchildren. Pallbearers were Joey Gaskin, Alvin Soco, Allen Soco, Ed Grimes, Don Crocker, Larry Holt, James C. Etheridge and John Finley. Mr. Flint was born Sept. 22, 1923 in Bladon Springs. He was a former marine engineer and was a member of the Thomasville Church of God. The funeral was held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 26, at O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Raymond Williams and the Rev. Glenn Akridge officiating. Burial was in Independence Cemetery in Sunny South. Mr. Flint is survived by his wife, Sue K. Flint of Pine Hill; three sons, Edward Flint of Pine Hill, Davis Ray Flint of Mobile and Gary Flint of Pine Hill; two daughters, Patricia Strickland and Janice Flint, both of Pine Hill; three brothers, Alex Flint and Tommy Flint, both of Mobile and Grady Flint of Pine Hill; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Mrs. Hendricks is survived by three sons, Ronald Hendricks of Mobile, Eddie Hendricks of Enterprise and Randy Hendricks of Mobile; one daughter, Nita Ann Sofge of Conyers, Ga.; her mother, Frances Williamson of Pine Hill; one sister, Annie Williamson of Pine Hill; two brothers, Toby Williamson and Robert Williamson, both of Pine Hill; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Mrs. Hicks was born Aug. 21, 1932 in Pine Hill. She was a retired city clerk for the town of Pine Hill and was a member of the Pine Hill Chapel of The Apostolic Faith. The funeral was held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 26, at Pine Hill Chapel of The Apostolic Faith with the Rev Mike Brening officiating. Burial was in Pine Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Hicks is survived by one son, James Robert Hicks Jr. of Reform; one daughter Debbie Hicks Andrus of Tuscaloosa; two sisters, Grace Sims of Pine Hill and Judy Warr of Tuscaloosa; one brother, George Green of Atmore; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Mrs. Hudson was born Sept. 13, 1921, in Coffeeville. She was a former machine operator in garment manufacturing. The funeral was held at 11 a.m., Saturday, March 1, at O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Jamie Pombo officiating. Burial was in Henley Cemetery in Fulton. Mrs. Hudson is survived by four sons, Elvin M. Hudson of Arcadia, Fla., Gerald Hudson of Denham Springs, La., Fred Hudson of Noblesville, Ind. and Randy Hudson of Monroeville; four brothers, Bruce Sheffield of Crestview, Fla., Clyde Sheffield of Knoxville, Tenn., Roger Sheffield of Irvington and Jack Rutherford of Lake Wales, Fla.; one sister, Margie McCallister of Mobile; 20 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; and 21 great-great-grandchildren.
