Secret Safe Place donation
Amy Duke of the Clarke County District Attorney's office receives a $1,000 donation from Cynthia Garner, Thomasville Wal-Mart store manager, for the Secret Safe Place for Newborns program. The program allows mothers who have to keep their births secret, a way to anonymously bring the infants to a local hospital. Duke said two babies lives have been saved by the program in Clarke County since its inception more than one year ago.
