Sheffield, Kaplan to wed
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Sheffield, the late Maybon G. Clanton and the late Ruth Dunagan Clanton Clarke, all of Grove Hill. The prospective groom is the grandson of Edith Kaplan and the late Irwin Kaplan of St. Petersburg, Fla., the late Luis Arevalo of Los Angeles, Calif., and the late Laura O'Connor of Los Angeles. Miss Sheffield is a 2001 graduate of Clarke Prep School in Grove Hill. She received a B.S. in nutrition from the University of Alabama and is now attending physical therapy school in Nashville. Mr. Kaplan is a 1996 graduate of Hillwood High School in Nashville. He received a B.S. in business marketing from the University of Tennessee - Chattanooga and a master's degree in business administration from the University of Tennessee - Chattanooga. He is now employed with Medforms in Nashville. The wedding will be an event of Saturday May 24, at 5:30 p.m. at The Ross Bridge Resort in Birmingham.
