By Evan Carden Special to the Times

Agents with the First Judicial Drug Task Force (Task Force One) participated in a statewide roundup, which produced 286 total arrests.

Activities included 36 warrants served, 11 guns seized, 23 methamphetamine labs discovered and 15 drug-endangered children encountered.

During their participation in the operations, Task Force One agents confiscated crack cocaine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia from several subjects in Thomasville.

According to reports, agents pulled up to a vacant lot at the corner of Trawick Avenue and Martin Luther King Jr. Street and a crowd of people there scattered. Agents conducted a search and recovered two grams of crack cocaine, 2.5 grams of marijuana, one gram of powder cocaine and a set of digital scales.

No charges have been filed, but arrests are expected in the near future.
