CHURCH CALENDAR Cathy Barron benefit A benefit program for Sister Cathy Landrum Barron will be held at 6 p.m., March 15, at William Temple CME Church in Thomasville. All groups and choirs are invited and asked to bring an "A" and a "B" selection. Donations will be accepted. The benefit is being sponsored by her mother Carleen Tunstall and sisters Linda Gale and Vicky Landrum. Tri-county's largest Easter egg hunt Jackson First Assembly of God will host the annual Tri- County's Largest Easter Egg Hunt at 10 a.m., March 15. Free coke and popcorn for all kids and more than 4,000 eggs will be hidden with three grand prize eggs per age division, in three age divisions. Prizes to be given away will be: 0-3 years of age - $25, Tricycle and battery powered motorcycle 4-7 years of age - $25, bicycle and iPod 8-11 years (sixth grade) - $25, bicycle and iPod Pastor Russell invites everyone to attend the Easter Egg hunt. Healing, deliverance, salvation Pastor Evangelist Nellie Kidd, an evangelistic speaker from Monroeville will be ministering at 5 p.m., Sunday, March 16, at the American Best Value Inn meeting room in Thomasville, on Highway 43 across from the hospital. Come and be blessed through the Word that the Lord has given. Pastor anniversary, birthday Sunflower AOH Church of God, McFadden Street in Thomasville, will be celebrating its pastor, Elder Samuel L. Calhoun's 38 years of preaching, 24 years of singing and 72nd birthday at 6 p.m., Saturday, March 29. Special guest will be the Rev. Hubert "Hubie" Baker and the Believers of Mobile. Other invited groups are: Spiritual Kings of Dixons Mills, Humble Spirits of Thomasville, Central Gospel Singers of Thomasville and LifeTech Gospel Group of Thomasville. Master of ceremony will be Winfred Holt of Thomasville. This is an open door program. Monetary and personal gifts are welcomed. Also included will be praising God, good singing and good food. Angels Touching Children's Lives (ATCL), a Christian organization, has been established to brighten and enhance the lives of children with special needs.
