CHURCH CALENDAR
Two Camden churches, First Presbyterian Church and Camden Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church, located next to each other on Broad Street, will join in the observance of the Lord's Supper at 7 p.m., Good Friday, March 21. The service, an annual event, will be held at Camden ARP Church. Pastor James Perry, pastor of First Presbyterian, will bring the message and Pastor Henry Lewis Smith of the host church will lead the service. The choir of First Presbyterian will sing and communicants will be served seated around the table, following the New Testament and ancient Scottish traditions. All Christians are invited to attend. Good Friday drive-thru The Thomasville United Methodist Church invites the public to a drive-through live dramatizatin of the scorge and crucifixion of Jesus Christ from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., Friday, March 21. Easter sunrise service Spencer Chapel A.M.E. Church in Fulton will hold Easter sunrise service at 6 a.m., Sunday, March 23. Breakfast will be served after the service and program. Rev. W.T. Lesueur, pastor and presiding elder invites everyone. Easter sunrise service Christian Fellowship Baptist Church will hold Easter sunrise service at 6:30 a.m., Easter Sunday, March 23. The service will be followed by breakfast. Sunday school is at 9:30 a.m. and morning worship at 10:30 a.m. No evening service will be held. Christian Fellowship Baptist Church is located 7 miles from the 4-way stop on Tallahatta Springs Road. Everyone is invited. Easter sunrise service The congregation of Bashan Baptist Church and pastor Rev. Jimmy Simpkins invite everyone to Easter Sunday Sunrise Service at 6:30 a.m., Sunday, March 23, at the graveyard beside the church. Afterwards a breakfast will be served in the fellowship hall. Sunday school and morning worship will be held at the regular times of 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. No night service will be held. Easter sunrise service Oak Grove Baptist Church in the Chilton community will have an Easter sunrise service at 6:30 a.m., Sunday, March 23 at the church. Breakfast will follow and morning worship will be held at 8:30 a.m. Rev. Morris Hill is pastor. Easter sunrise service Mt. Vernon Baptist Church, 3 miles north of Thomasville on Highway 5, will hold Easter sunrise service at 8 a.m., followed by breakfast. Regular worship will begin at 9 a.m. Everyone is invited. The Passion of Christ Grove Hill Methodist Protestant Church, on Highway 43 north of Grove Hill across from Lathan Funeral Home, will be showing "The Passion of Christ" at 7 p.m., Saturday, March 29. There will be no charge. Rev. Benny Crawford is pastor. Singspiration Grove Hill Methodist Protestant Church, on Highway 43 north of Grove Hill across from Lathan Funeral Home, will host a singspiration at 6 p.m., Sunday, March 30. The praise and worship team will be singing and anyone who would like to sing a special is invited. Rev. Benny Crawford is pastor. Pastor anniversary, birthday Sunflower AOH Church of God, McFadden Street in Thomasville, will be celebrating its pastor, Elder Samuel L. Calhoun's 38 years of preaching, 24 years of singing and 72nd birthday at 6 p.m., Saturday, March 29. Special guest will be the Rev. Hubert "Hubie" Baker and the Believers of Mobile and other invited groups.This is an open door program. Also included will be praising God, good singing and good food. Fifth Saturday singing Oak Grove Baptist Church in the Chilton community will host a fifth Saturday night singing at 7 p.m., March 29. Local singers will be featured and Good News of Grove Hill along with area churches. Refreshments will be served afterwards. Pastor Morris Hill invites everyone to attend. Gospel singing Sweet Water Church of God will have a gospel singing at 7 p.m., Saturday, March 29. Jerry Russell of Clanton will be the featured singer and will be joined by his family and "ABLAZE" drama ministries. Bro. Russell's unique gift allows him to bring each song to life through the anointing of the Holy Spirit. He has sung in churches and other venues throughout the state of Alabama. Many will recognize his son, Garyson from TV commericals and from the movie "Talladega Nights." In addition, the church will be selling spaghetti plates for $5 each from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., eat in or take out.
