Submit photos online for yearbook
Katie Simon
Four . . . three . . . two . . . spring break is almost here! And I must admit, the anxiety over our mounting impatience for vacation mixed with our reluctant apprehension toward exams combines to create quite an atmosphere here at Thomasville High School. Speaking of exams, the schedule this week is fairly simple. Thursday will be like any other day. The bells will ring as usual. The only difference is that third and fourth block will be exams. Friday will only consist of first and second block, which will also be exams. Students will then dismiss at 1 p.m.

On our sports schedule this week, we have our baseball team playing Monroe County at home on Thursday at 6 p.m. The following day they will play Monroe County again in a doubleheader.

Congratulations are in order for the winners of the 2008 Youth Tour Trip. Those winners are Brianna Penn and Kaitlan Ramsey. They have been awarded an all-expense paid trip to tour Washington, D.C. this summer! Have fun girls!

Attention sophomores and juniors! Dual enrollment packages are available in the office. If you have not gotten one yet, you are encouraged to do so. This is an opportunity that shouldn't be overlooked. Pre-registration begins after spring break.

The yearbook staff invites students and parents to submit photos for the yearbook. If you have any fun or awesome photos of school and community events or of you and your friends just having a good time, they want to see them. To submit a photo online, log onto images.jostens.com. Enter login ID 1142910 and the password is tigers. Browse to select the photo(s) you wish to upload and click on "Image Share." Enter information about the photo and provide your contact information for the staff in case it is needed. Finally, click "Save Details." The annual staff is really looking for participation in this to make the yearbook better than ever this year.

Seniors, remember that most scholarship deadlines are due April 1. Take advantage of these opportunities. Don't wait or it will be too late.

As always, I deem it a blessing to be able to report to you all and I hope you have a great week. THS have fun next week and come back safely! This is Katie Simon. God bless you!
