LP mill produces first boards
About 60 LP employees gathered to celebrate the production of the first boards at Louisiana-Pacific's Clarke County OSB mill this week. The first boards were produced last Thursday at 5 p.m. Mill manager Steve Doffitt said he expects the mill to ramp up to 90 percent capacity in six months. Doffitt said the Clarke County operation will be the lowest cost production unit in the company once it starts up production.
