LETTERS TO THE EDITOR

Chamber thanks

The Southwest Alabama Chamber of Commerce would like to give additional thanks to the following members for there support in making the chamber banquet a success: WMBV - Rob Moore, The Thomasville Times, Clarke County Democrat, our local artists and professional photographers, Arts Council of Thomasville, Chuck Anderson, Melinda Foster.

Thanks also to each and every one who bought a ticket and attended the banquet. It would not have been possible without your support.

Thanks, Kathy Roberts, Chamber Chairwoman Service closing comes with broken heart

It is with a sincerely broken heart that we have to suspend Life- Line Paramedics. Due to circumstances beyond our control, we no longer can continue to subsidize the service of which we are so proud.

Thank you to a professional and gifted group of management and employees. Their sacrifice and devotion to care for all the people in our community will be a huge loss. It will never be forgotten by those you served.

Thank you also to the Doctors, Nurses, Hospitals, Fireman, and Police. We appreciate your devotion to your jobs in a way we would never have understood until we were allowed to work beside you.

I would like to thank my husband and family for their support, both financially and emotionally. It has been our choice to serve our surrounding area.

My first hope is that everyone know Jesus for who He is, and second that no one- no one be denied the highest level of "First Responder" or transfer help that should be needed.

All rural medical care is difficult and first responders are the last paid. I encourage each citizen to insist that a quality of service for our community, receive help and support. Know what coverage you have and ask your public officials to assure help is here.

Again, we thank the 26 plus people who gave of themselves in ways and time most people never saw. They are an exceptional team. Thank you for letting us touch your lives.

Vida A McDaniel, Life-Line Paramedics
