JV softball team evens season at 6-6 mark

The Thomasville High School Lady Tiger junior varsity softball team evened their season record at 6 - 6 this past Thursday, March 20 when they blasted the Lady Blue Devil junior varsity softball team 18 - 2 in a game played here in Thomasville. In the game, the Lady Tigers scored 14 runs in the first inning and then cruised to the final margin of victory.

Tiffany Drinkard picked up the win on the mound for Thomasville improving her season mark to 5 - 2. In three innings she allowed two runs on three hits and one walk while striking out three. On offense the Lady Tigers pounded out 10 hits led by Natalie Washington with three. Tiffany Baugh was next with two hits followed by Tiffany Drinkard, JuQuesha Evans, Kaley McManus, Savanna Sheppard, and Alexis Watters with one hit each. In the extra-base hit catetory Washington was the leader with a double and a homerun while Drinkard also had a round tripper and Evans and Sheppard both had doubles. Baugh was the RBI leader with four followed by Evans, McManus, Sheyenne Myers, Sheppard and Washington with one each.

After taking this week off for spring break the Lady Tiger JV will be back in action on Thursday, April 3 when they travel to Jackson to take on the Lady Aggie JV.
