Teammates adding one each to the cause included Brett Green, Holden and Sean Skelton. Although Thomasville JV Tigers ultimately came out on top against the Monroe County JV, it wasn't easy. The visiting Tigers jumped out to a 4 - 0 lead in the top of the first inning and were still on top 4 - 3 after two. The homestanding Tigers stayed the course however and added five more runs over the next two innings to pull off the win. Leading the charge was Charles Taylor with three hits including two triples. Right behind him was Sean Skelton and Sam Wise with two hits each and Darius Bowen with one. Sean Skelton was the RBI leader with two followed by Bowen and Wise with one apiece. On the mound Will Morgan, the second of three pitchers used by Thomasville in the game, was credited with the win. Over the course of his two inning stint he hit one batter and struck out three. Morgan was preceded by Jake Dukes who allowed four runs on two hits, three walks, and one hit batter while striking out four in two innings of work. Jay Williams pitched the final frame of the five inning contest giving up one hit and two walks while striking out two.
After taking this week off for spring break, the Tiger JV is scheduled to be back in action on Monday March 31, when they host the Demopolis JV in a 4:00 PM contest. That's just the first of four games they are scheduled to play during the week with Citronelle set to come to Thomasville on Tuesday, April 1 for a make up double header and before the Tigers travel to Jackson on Thursday, April 3, for a 4:00 PM match-up with the Aggies.
