Roberts receives degree from Virginia College
      Olivia Roberts of Thomasville graduated Feb. 24 from Virginia College with a degree in sonography (ultrasound). Roberts is a 2004 graduate of Thomasville High School and attended Judson College in Marion before transferring to Virginia College.

      F.S. Ervin Elementary School sixth graders enjoyed touring the Thomasville campus of Alabama Southern Community College on March 19. ASCC is one of the nation's leading training centers for paper and chemical workers.

Boy Scout troop 76 seeks more youth to join in

      Boy Scout Troop 76 recently conducted a membership drive at Thomasville Schools and at the Youth Day activities at Gates Drive Park. Troop 76 is sponsored by Pineview Baptist Church and is inviting all boys of Boy Scout age (11 to 18) to join Troop 76.

Litter clean ups around Clarke
      The City of Thomasville will have dumpsters out at several locations around town for the annual town clean up. Dumpsters will be located at Deas Tires on Wilson Avenue, McFadden Park, Wilkinson Field and the Thomasville High School parking lot beginning Friday and running through May 2.
